A perfectly fine easy hike to the island’s highest point, Sveti Vid, towering the whole 349 metres above the sea (we climbed, like, 220 of them). You walk 2km along some old farm/shepherd roads and then another kilometer up a mountain path to the top. There’s a ruin of something that is for sure an ancient fortification, a book to sign your name in and, yay, a Geocache – found it, baby. Make sure you bring water if you go, it’s hot also in the evening (we went just before sunset). Harsh limestone everywhere, good grip, but man, it’s rough. Ryanair is very much against you bringing several pairs of shoes, so I got a chance to learn firsthand why running shoes aren’t good for hiking.
